The Presidency of the EU Council represents a great opportunity for Ireland to restore its international standing by delivering an efficient and business-like work programme which focuses on the key challenges for the EU: stability, jobs and growth. The Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport will play an important role in Ireland’s Presidency programme, advancing priorities and dossiers across a variety of Council formations.
